Giga-tronics Accuracy Audit Installation

The Accuracy Audit installation program will install the Accuracy Audit
on your PC. The installation includes the addition of a number of drivers
to the Windows operating system. It may be necessary to restart your
computer. Should the program require the computer to be restarted,
you will need to re-install the Audit program after the computer has
been restarted. To remove the Audit program from your PC, you will
need to use the Remove Program icon located in the control panel of
the Windows operating system.

How to perform a Single point Audit.

The Accuracy Audit will be computed based on the operating parameters
of the power measurement. These factors are:

Test Power Level
Frequency
Sensor Type
Source VSWR
Calibration temperature
Test temperature

Test Power Level
Power level (in dBm) of the DUT. As the signal level reaches the limits
of the dynamic range of the sensor, the uncertainty will increase. Enter
the power level in dBm.
Frequency
The test frequency is entered in GHz (Giga-hertz). The sensor VSWR varies
with frequency. This will affect the sensor/source mismatch.
Sensor Type
Each sensor has different characteristics that affect the uncertainty of
a measurement. The table below lists all the sensors available for this program.
Enter the sensor as they are listed below.
Source VSWR
Enter the VSWR of the Source or device under test.
Calibration Temperature
Enter the temperature, in degrees Centigrade, at the time the sensor was
calibrated to the power meter's calibrator.
Test Temperature
Enter the temperature, in degrees Centigrade, of the test environment.

Click on the button labeled "Calculate Uncertainty". All the factors that make
up the uncertainty of a measurement will be displayed on the right.

Click on the "Print Audit" button to get a print out of the audit.

How to perform Multiple Point Audit

Click on the Multi-point Audit button. The input parameters are identical
to the multiple point audit with the exception of the power level. For power,
you need input the start and stop power levels and the step size. The program
is limited to performing only 21 points maximum per Audit. Once these inputs
have been made, click on the Calculate Uncertainty button. The printout
will print the power level, percent uncertainty, and dB errors.
